ABOUT EINSTEIN BROWN
The sounds of Reggae, Calypso, Jazz and Funk collide and intertwine with the feel of a Caribbean adventure in Trinidad in my music. Whether performing solo or with my band Sapadilla, I create music, a Caribbean fusion explosion, made into an art form, unique and upbeat. I was born in Trinidad. Surrounded by some of the great West Indian musicians while growing up. In 1979 I joined the Invaders Steel Orchestra and was asked to perform with other steel bands including the Woodbrook Modernaires. I accepted an offer later that year to perform aboard a large cruise ship, and soon after was called to do a commercial for Heineken Beer. I eventually migrated to the U.S. in 1982. Upon my arrival I performed with the Trinidad Steel band, the L.A. Desperadoes and also started my first band called Caribe. In 1984 we formed Sapadilla, recorded my first single, and in 1991 released our first album "Humanize the Earth" on which I collaborated with Eric Gale.
I currently perform my music in several venues throughout Southern California. Thanks to all my friends, family, and music fans for your continued support. Blessings to you all and please enjoy the new website.
